Opiate Truth

Opiate recovery is impossible without opiate detox. Unfortunately, some opiate treatment facilities marginalize the detoxification process, or even ignore it all together. This is an enormous mistake. The fact of the matter is that opiate addiction is at root a physiological disease, and opiate rehab must begin with the sort of physiological healing effected by opiate detox programs. In the end, there’s simply no other way to get better.

The good news is that opiate detox doesn’t have to be an unpleasant experience—not if it’s administered by people who know exactly what they’re doing. Indeed, a gentle and pain-free opiate detox program should nurture healing instead of suffering, and hope instead of anguish. For your own sake, for the sake of the people who care about you, here’s hoping you’ll be wise enough to find that out for yourself. (Article courtesy of Sunset Malibu)
